MISSION STATEMENT.

Breaking the Cycle with Books is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides equitable access to literacy for historically underserved youth with an emphasis on high school retention, cultural enhancement, and a successful future. We increase literacy, empathy, and college readiness by giving students the independent bookstore experience, while helping them build their own personal library.

CHANGING LIVES WITH BOOKS.

​We are public school teachers that take students to independent bookstores and buy them books of their choosing. We promote literacy and positive habits.
